Corsets

Corsets are making a comeback and not just as underwear. More and more women are wearing corsets as a fashion item or accessory. They are often seen as part of a wedding dress, but are versatile enough to be worn as evening wear or casual wear. They can be worn with a skirt, trousers or even jeans! Wearing a corset is more comfortable than you imagine, and can give you a wonderful feeling of self confidence and a desire to "flaunt it"! Corsets cost from £125 for most non-silk fabrics, or £140 for hand-woven dupion (100% silk).

As these garments are so close fitting, it is important that it fits you properly. A standard sized or incorrectly fitted corset will chafe and pinch, so all my corsets are made to measure.

Customers living more than 50 miles from Inverness will be charged a small amount for extra mileage.

**PLEASE NOTE: NO MORE CORSET ORDERS WILL  BE TAKEN UNTIL 2009**

Waisties

A waistie is a half sized corset that covers the waist and high hip area. They are made in the same way as a corset and all of them have a busk closure at the front, lacing at the back and boning throughout. As they cover a much smaller part of the body, waisties are available in standard sizes and can be ordered from this site. Simply select a colour from the chart, then send me an email here giving your name, address, waist size* and your chosen colour. Please note the fabrics on the colour charts are handwoven dupion made from 100% pure silk. Waisties made from this fabric cost £85. Waisties made from most non-silk fabrics will cost £75. If you would like a different fabric please contact me here. Postage and packing are included in the price for UK mainland customers. Please contact me for costings to other locations.

 * This should be your uncorseted waist measurement. Your natural waist is not necessarily where your trouser or skirt waistband sits, it is roughly half way between your lower ribs and your hip bone.
